My children are my biggest influences, and I’m constantly amazed by their creativity. When a child creates, they create without fear. They are not encumbered by adult notions about artistic rules, or what they should or shouldn’t do, or what the final piece will look like. They simply do what feels good to them in the moment. When I paint, I attempt to cultivate a child-like sense of fearlessness and curiosity. My art is about having fun with the process, and being open to happy accidents. Though I make my fair share of mud, I also enjoy the surprise of discovering something new through experimentation.
I unapologetically paint rainbows because bright colors inspire me and make me happy.
Camille has been an artist since a young age. She loves experimenting with a variety of techniques to create whimsical landscapes, energetic abstracts, and hand-lettered affirmations. Camille’s work is inspired by nature – the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains, shimmering starry skies, and glowing sunsets. Above all, the rainbow holds a special significance for her as a universal symbol of hope and love. Camille lives in Charlottesville, VA with her husband and two children.
